DAMIAN CROOKS

Damian is a member attorney at Zuma Law LLC, focusing on family-based immigration and removal defense. As an attorney, Damian has successfully handled hundreds of immigration matters and represented a wide range of clients before various agencies including the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Department of State (DOS), and the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR). He has also served as a guest speaker at universities, community organizations, and other events. 

Damian earned his law degree cum laude from the Mississippi College School of Law in 2011. As a law student, Damian worked part-time as a law clerk for the Mississippi Attorney General’s office, and served on the Moot Court Board. He received  U.S. American Jurisprudence awards (highest grade in the class) for Professional Responsibility (“ethics”), Secured Transactions and Accounting for Lawyers. In 2012, he received the Pro-Bono Volunteer Award from the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project recognizing his commitment as a law student to serve low income and marginalized communities.

Damian is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the Chicago Bar Association, and the Lake County Bar Association.
